Food
Lots have been written about feeding raw food to dogs. There are several good books and many websites on this
subject.
It is for sure more work to feed raw than pouring kibble into a bowl. But, the satisfaction of knowing that you are
doing something very good for you dog should make this a pleasure. My rescue Danes are a big part of my life,
and feeding them food that they are designed for is to me a must. They deserve nothing else than to be fed food
that is beneficial to them so they can live healthy long lives.
I feed a verity of chicken, ground meat, gizzards, pork, fish and tripe. I add eggs 2-3 times a week. They get one
main meal once a day. They do get a small meal in the morning just so I can give them supplements that are best
given twice a day. This meal is more like a snack.

A documentation about
3 Great Danes on a raw
food diet traveling across
Northern America
3-6 ounces of ground meat. The portions in this picture
are larger than they would normally get.
I add 4-5 raw natural ( not roasted) apricot kernels. I
grind this up in my Magic Bullet (great appliance I
use everyday).
Apricot kernels after grinding.
I spread the crushed apricots on the ground meat
I add  Daily Blend supplement. This is in powder form
and can only be taken with food. They get this twice a
day.
This is the main reason for the  morning snack in
addition to Rex’s joint supplements (shown below)
After adding the crushed apricots and the Daily Blend
powder to the ground meat I spray their portions with
water
After making everything moist with water it is easier to
mix it into the ground beef.
Rex’s portion (on the right) gets joint supplements.
I add:
2 capsules of Flexile Plus
14 drops of Yucca Intensive, Holistic Animal Care
1 ml of Hyaflex
They each get 1/2 tbs of Daily Blend
Camelot get on chicken wing (cut). He has e very
sensitive stomach so I add bones to hie meal to keep
is stool firm.
They both get 3 capsules of Omega 3 (3000 mg)
Enjoying their snack on the couch.
Here is a mixed raw meat dish of chicken legs, wings
and gizzards. I add water to this dish in order to slow
down on their eating.
This way they will eat a little then drink then eat again,
this prevent them from wolfing down the meats.
I’ll mix in some Daily Blend (1/2 tbs) for both dogs.
Rex also get 2 capsules of Flexile Plus plus 14 drops of
Yucca Intensive, Holistic Animal Care.
After eating their main meal they get two baby carrots
and 3 Omega 3 gel caps.
